11 months

Our little cutie is 11 months!  He has 4 teeth now, and still not much hair.  We are practicing with him this month how to hold up  1 finger and say "one;" hopefully he will get that down so he can say it when he turns one.

He has been practicing standing up on his own and is getting better and better at it every day.  Grandma and Granddad got him a toy that he can push and walk with.  I think this kid is going to be taking those first steps here soon.  He is really into playing with toys now and learning too.  Of course his favorite toy is the laptop, which he knows is a no-no, but will sneak his little hands up to the keyboard anyway and type away.

Mason is becoming more and more of a daddy's boy these days.  Whenever daddy leaves for work Mason will cry at the door for a little bit, and of course gets really excited when he hears daddy come home from work and says "da da!"  He loves his mommy too, but only really says "ma ma" when he wants something or needs a nap.

He loves to play in his seat.

Our handsome little boy!

Christmas

This year we were supposed to go to Colorado for Christmas but I had to work on Christmas Eve so we couldn't go.  I was looking forward to spending an actual Christmas with my family since I haven't done so since before I was married.  I really miss being able to see my family that lives in Colorado more than 1 or 2 times a year.  I feel like we are missing out on a lot.  So I was quite upset about not being able to go.  But we were able to have a good Christmas here.

We each got some new "Christmas jammies" to wear on Christmas Eve.  On Christmas we opened presents and it was fun to watch Mason play with all of his new toys.  I think the coolest thing he got was a recordable book that his cousin Preston recorded himself reading.

Our Christmas dinner was ribs, mashed sweet potatoes, and cinnamon apples.  It was really good.

I crocheted our stockings.
